Hi. Just dipping into the infinite well of IDMheads for recommendations on more stuff like dubnology II. (Middle Earth Recordings - Middle 7 CD) This is just what the Dr. ordered, and I NEED more. Thanks.

Well, for a start you *could* go back in time and get Dubnology - Journeys into Outer Bass ( it's the one preceding yours) released in 1995, Middle 4 CD. Great lineup from Zion Train, System 7, Renegade SW, Banco de Gaia, Loop Guru, Eat Static, TGU'ground, U'world, Meat Beat Manifesto etc. Slightly harder and edging towards Industrial are the two Macro Dub Infection double CD's (Vol 1 and Vol 2). I'm looking at Vol 1 right now, (also 1995) which has Spring Heel Jack, The Rootsman, Coil, Omni Trio, Laika, Tortoise, 4 Hero, Mad Professor, Wagon Christ, Scorn etc. Also check out Bill Laswell's dub version of Bob Marley (recent release on Island Records 1997), also Bill Laswell's Dub Meltdown (1997) - imo. this one's bOring, or go check out the On-U Sound / Adrian Sherwood backcatalogue of African Head Charge and his recent Echo Dek / dub of Primal Scream. Personally in that genre I still adore Strange Brew's "Earth Out" (thanks Neil Moore !!) which is out on vinyl only and a few years old, but it's totally gorgeous dub. And there's lots lots more... oh, and if you haven't heard this one when it first happened, UB40's "signing off" still does it for me :-) I * "Incomplete without surface noise" - Autechre
