Anyone got this yet? The write up looks very interesting, and I was wondering if it lived up to it's claims. Here is what they said: "Recent works have pointed in the direction of noise and distortion, but this one pushes past them all, for the loudest, most distorted Muslimgauze CD ever. It has it's musical moments, but that's not what you'll remember it for." and "Extremely intense Arabic dub noise music, designed to twist minds and blow loudspeakers. Muslimgauze has gone completely mad. You want distortion? Here it is, help yourself, go on, take a giant serving! Save room for extra noise!" So, as good as all that? YES....u do....noisy, but not enough to cause u to lose ur hearing...a muslimgauze that defies the definition...merzbow without the screech, ae without the high pitch...organic blasts from the depth of whatever hell drives muslimgauze...deep, dark, dismal, decadent...thousands of years of anguish pent up and released on this album...his best? dont know...his most ferocious? YES...get it... tom w np: farouk enjineer

tom and list, this is definitely the loudest disc i own. and while the third track is one of the coolest things jones has ever done, this whole crazy distortion and filter business is getting a bit annoying. i don't think that messing with the levels of a song is enough to sustain a few nice loops for 13 minutes. and he's doing this more and more frequently. not a must have, but as with most muslimgauze, there are for sure some keeper moments. bi, mj np: closing theme from dr. katz...you know what that means * * * * * * * )) ) * ( ( ( * _O )WW( ___________(]])__WWWW_______________ -- XXXX those sad, sad campfire songs...
