for those of you that way inclined heres some spiel on the up and coming coldcut multi media [.....zzzzzzzz] project artist - coldcut title - timber format 2xlp 2 x cd, CD-ROM date - 9/02/98 vinyl / cd features remixes by kirk d g [op-art], journeyman [n-tone], voda, DK, LPC, quant [dot], bundy K brown [directions in music] and future 3 [april] cd rom features the 'timber' video remixed by LPC, clifford gilberto, EBN and protean vision quest press release then wanks on about how coldcut & hex were sonic - culture jamming pioneers [err. wot about negativland, john oswald, residents, stock,hausen & walkman, xenaxis etc etc then....?] i've got a 12" of the remixes but my needles are kaput..so verdict is witheld; [sm] -- http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/mfr/ [elecktronic label] [esoteric, non-generic material wanted] "the experimental is now the conventional.the conventional is now the experimental"

errr....actually we were not trying to suggest that Coldcut/Hex were the first, but they were pioneers along with most of these people. Remember that Coldcut have been around since the late 80's , and although they certainly didn't invent the multi-media/CD-Rom format, they certainly were amongst the first music artist to experiment with the two. Anyway, all bias aside, I think it's a pretty awesome release. Take Care Ninja Jeff
