I've been seeing a new orb "limited edition" cd with some of their rare early early stuff, and possibly some remixes. Anyone know anything about this? I'm tempted to just pick it up. If I do I'll let you guys know what its about.. --brett

It's an Italian bootleg(ish) release with two dodgy quality demo tracks: CD: 1996 IT (Sonic Book SB 04/SONIC.004; ??) 10:18 Alex vs The KLF 14:26 Orb vs Coldcut/Kiss FM [with 64pp book (history/discography) by Vanna Neri and Giorgio Campani; text in Italian] The tracks probably aren't of much interest to anyone but diehard fans, and are other, more interesting boots out there that include both of them anyway. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ::: Internet Music Wantlists: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo/Wantlists

unless this has been re-bootlegged, my copy is an italian "production" that has a cheezy booklet and two tracks: one, a john peel session with the KLF and the other a recording of orb and coldcut on some radio show...nice stuff, but non-essential, imo...id save my cash and track down a copy of orbscure traxx... tom w sp: scanner vs. signs ov chaos : what a suprise this is...scanner leaves his eavesdropping at home and makes some nice, beaty, almost dance oriented music...takes" delivery " to an altogether higher level...recommended...ps: at tower this was filed with the eps, so if ur lucky u should be able to get it for $ 5.99....

Speaking of which I had the pleasure last Friday to see Scanner and DJ Spooky live here in Vancouver and I was rather surprised that his stuff was rather chocked full of beats not really 'ambient' or 'minimal'..and they did this duet which was really amazing..it was really an awesome little show for $10. slapu "incomplete wihout surface noise"---DR typo alert.
