just got this cd in the mail.
listened to it once.
heres my first impressions/review of this disc.
crackling/staticy/poppy beats
reversed bass harmonics
guitar loops
1-28ms delay times
flanging tones
melody/harmony subverted.
focus on percussion.
removal of drum hierarchy (hihat/snare/bassdrum)
pure rich bass tones.
a touch of minimal techno
a bigger touch of post rock
a smaller touch of dub
lazy laid back but moving and intimate
supercollider??
fresh take on idm.
good stuff nicholas.
