Got the new Kid606 does NWA 7". Swell stuffs. Sounds almost better at
33.3, though I'm guessing it is a 45 affair based on the Ice Cube samples.
Full on fun affair. B-Side is a rousing track by Tigerboy, yet another
sample friendly affair...though I'm not quite able to make out the source.
Very familiar, but the name escapes me.
Also of note is V/Vm doing "Rock Me Amadeus" by the well dressed Falco.
Not only does it feature some lovely pics of the man himself, it also has a
lyric sheet...in German of course. Other participants include Rehberg +
Bauer, Cock ESP, Buther Claws, The Notorius P.I.G.(!), and GoodiePal +
Steuea (sounding much harder than previous GoodiePal releases would have
let on).
Grab yourself some plastic bags of vinyl, pull out the victrola, and then
call the older siblings around to show them what them new noise boys can do
to their old favorites. Surely fun for the whole family. :) [Note: I
actually haven't played these on the victrola, used my hi-tech SL-J3
instead...kinda afeared to play traditional vinyl under the heavy metal
needle.]
JJTar. Who has a vic in the living room and a technics in the study.
Still can't find those darn Aphex 78s though! ;)
