Technics makes a cd player that reads ahead some 5 seconds or so. (ie--it can do what you are stating above.) Supposedly it's to keep the listener from hearing any breaks while it switches discs (it's a 5-disc carousel), but that really isn't long enough when your on randomn, but oh-well. Works well for single discs. (Wish the recent _4 years in 30 seconds_ compilation was pressed on cd for this reason!) --- Peace Hugs and Unity, Jason J.
