jesus I'm fucking tired and this organic thing is still going on as I type: there really wasn't many people there. I guess with only a day's warning for the location change and even less warning for the time change, some people chickened out. here's my mini review: --sneaker pimps: bad rock band posing as electronica artists. --viberts dj set: good, but (dare I say) somewhat predictable. --crystal method: the fakest (?) fake performance I've ever seen. Should have left after aphex. --guadaloop: half decent rock band posing as electronica artists. --faithless: kind of fun, but most of their stuff is very different from "Insomniac" --aphex twin: I peed my pants. Did you? It seems as though he's changed his set list rather dramatically from the last set list postings that I had seen. Anyone else notice this? Even better, anyone remember to write the set list down? Whats that I saw while aphex was striking his gear? Our own Gonzi mucking about with the rephlex crew and playing with the giant bears. Who knew? I left too early to catch BT (oh darn), Josh Wink, or the other dj's still about to spin on the main stage. yyyaaaawwwnnnn..... --brian rachielles brachielles@juno.com www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/club/4980 idm review archive: www.geocities.com/paris/metro/9160/idm.htm

predictable? predictable? What the fuck did I miss? this was the tripiest fucking shit I ever heard in my life, I was flying and going mad to his beats. LV is one wicked fucker, predictable in the least. And remember he did his set *BEFORE* he and I smoked out together. That alone says what a wicked dope mother fucker he is! peace out, g

That's a compliment right? Actually, I know it is but it's pretty interesting to see how language differs from one segment of the population to another. In high school (it's been a few years...) calling someone one a "mother fucker" was a pretty bad insult and meant that the person sleeps with their mother. I must be getting old.... ;-)

I've been following (and wondering about) this thread eulogising sharing a joint or six with Famous People. Okay... so Mr. Vibert chooses to sample "Smoke A Joint" in the title track of his latest release, just that we all know *his* take on the subject. Then there's Hallucinogen's "LSD" and countless 'e' related & inspired music. Since time immemorial. Look at rock's heroin riddled idols... Look at Trainspotting. We all know it's happening and many reading this mail will be actively or tacitly involved, but c'mon kids... five (or whatever) postings by the same author about the same event is enough already.
