I have to agree with Benny Blanco on this.... Standing up on stage and
faking it while a DAT plays is complete ass! Plan ahead, bring
sequencers, samplers, synths, whatever is necessary to reproduce your
"sound". There is NO excuse for laziness..
As far as making a live performance something enjoyable to watch (as
well as listen to)...there are ways my son....there are ways...
There are many alternate controllers available (for example the Buchala
Lightning II, dimension beam....) which could allow the performance to
become something to watch as well as listen to.
I am currently working on some ideas which would make the audience part
of the show...Imagine going to see your favorite act perform and realize
that when you walk in a certain area near the stage...something happens
to a sound...maybe the cutoff rises a bit...maybe a sample gets
triggered...interested? It will happen soon....I will make sure of
that..
