damn straight!! i've nearly worn my promo out from playing so much! personal faves being undoneson and headspin..looks like they may have took a little inspiration from boards of canada on the beats front spudniks very nice but would have settled better on one of the likemind releases..(when's lm 05 out huh?) from what i hear the LP is rather "swingy" and not as good as the 12" heard a little news about the boards of canada LP on skam..andy M reckons it's "beautiful"..i may be able to give your more info after the weekend after i've had a sneak preview cichlisuite - sickly sweet ;) studio moo page almost done!! -- peace. Brian F "put in a tape. Quick" "which tape?" "Songs about robots - written by cash registers. ANYTHING to counteract that hippie noise" Douglas Coupland - polaroids from the dead

Yup - the more I listen to this, the more I love it. I thought it sounded intially like BDP-lite but theres a lot of depth and soul to it thats not immediately apparent. IMHO. Maybe I'm just yearning for some old _Bytes_ style stuff too much.

The whole pack is better than _Girl/Boy_ or _RDJ LP_ I reckon. Mainly on the variety front but I think he's a bit tighter on this one. Greg put the artwork up yesterday (and possibly the .RAs) at Warp-Net. I had nightmares about those kids with the latex faces last night. Brrrr. "Come and see the funny man"

Sounds like a gramme of pure good taste.
quoted 2 lines I totally love this EP. I think it's easily one>I totally love this EP. I think it's easily one >of the best things they've ever done.
I thought it was pretty uninteresting. There was none of the twisting experimentation of _Chiastic_, none of the variety of _Tri Repetae_ or _Second Bad Vilbel_ and no funky, groove inspired tracks like the one off of _Envane_. It seems to meander along quite nicely - but I didn't think this was prime Ae material. IMO again, naturally.

In a Maurizio style :) I passed it up - it sounded too much like _M5_ or something. Yeah, I know a lot of the stuff sounds similar but this sounded more similar than usual. Type thing.

Hello? You're not impressed because you didn't get sent a freebie? The CD cases being smashed I can understand you being upset about but you usually won't get freebies unless you've made a big tasty order - two CDs ain't a big order. Most mailorder places are cool and pop in a promo or two and some flyers/stickers with a big(ish) order but you shouldn't expect that stuff outright and then complain. If Warp popped in promos for every order, they'd be losing out on quite a few future sales when the actual release date comes round. Don't expect anything and then you'll be pleasantly surprised if something unexpected pops up. || [CiM] || simonw@sol.ftp.com || -

i like it too. 'choke & fly' it is NOT, though! warp would have done well to scrap track 3 and put the other 2 tracks on a 7" or something...

I wasn't serious, just a little angered because I never come across the promos like everyone else gets, so it's just me talking, I though you'd get it, evidently no.

I don't understand why they'd send you a promo and not me. I know they gave you one cause they know you sell your stuff and they want to do test marketing or promotion. Or maybe you don't sell the stuff. See they really don't know... I guess those who are richer and order more stuff get more benefits than those who bought all of our Warp stuff through the shops and therefore didn't need as much from their Warp-mart site. Rusty
