They will - when they run out money ;) A local newspaper's irritating pop column recently claimed that there's in plans putting out soon an unreleased New Order song "Video 586" (?), a 23-minute electro track from 1982. Tell me if there's any truth behind this, or was someone pulling our dear pop columnist's leg (never trust a Britpopster)? 2 parts appeared on an old cassette on Touch (Ritual: Magnetic North I think -- I got it someplace). The missing middle section was on Touch Sampler 2 -- if I've got the title wrong, it's the last v/a comp on the label. OK stuff in which you can find seeds of the extraordinary _Power, Corruption and Lies_ album. --Mark

Damn, of course I meant 'Approaching Menace' (should've stayed away from that brown acid ;) - now, where could I get more d&b (techstep?) tracks líke this...? I mean I'm fed-up with all coffee-table jungle - I want it dark, hard, sinister & scary ;) And thanx to all who answered my New Order enquiry - gotta have that :) transmission from the pHinnWeb Bunker over, ekku aka pHinn the maintainer of pHinnWeb - the old skool, the nu skool and the pHuture skool of Finnish electronic music trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb

Yep, Me too...I played Approaching Menace to a out of town junglist the other night and he freaked out. The best part is 99.9 percent of the other junglists out there don't listen to mike p, so they would never think about picking up the new LP for that track. Anyway, as I've been playing mostly jungle parties lately, here's some stuff to check out on the dark tip: On CD: Torque - No U Turn Comp The Penny Black Comp (can't remember the title) Boymerang - 'balance of the force' Panacea 'low profile darkness' There are a few more, but I really haven't been buying many jungle CD's lately. Vinyl: This is a whole different ball game! Anything on No U Turn! Warefare/makai - on Gyration Full Velocity comp - on Runninz Records cyborg, mutants, etc - on Smooth Records Optical - on Metalheadz Decoder - on Second Movements Decoder - twister (can't remember the label) Most everything on Hardleaders, Sour, Emotif, Precision, Tech Itch, Ignition Musik, and about 10 other bitch'n labels! This shits getting quit insane... This was all off the top of my head, when I get home tonight, I'll look thru some of my crates and try to pull together a little more info then this. word to the mothership, brock. np: V/A - Plug in & turn on v2
