Last I heard, but was not confirmed by any direct sources was that although Aphex is special guest on some shows, LA was not to be one of them *cry*. Has anyone heard the disk called. . ummm *forgets the name* The one with Richard D James and a couple guys from u-ziq. Im not sure as to the details but I have been told it is available in US as import only. . .I wish I could remember the name. . .hmmm hmmm. .the album name is something like Knob Twiddlin or something. Ok now that im feeling rather like an idiot. . just like to throw in one other note. For those of you in the Southern California area who know where West Covina Fashion Plaza is. . .hit up the Tower Records there as they have hired a new buyer who LOVES electronica music (and not that chem bros/prodigy shit, this boy has some great taste) and has started a new electronica section with such things as u-ziq, carl craig, autechre, plastikman, etc etc. I found some really good stuff and the prices are pretty good (for new stuff). This could become quite a nice place to get imported and rare stuff if it sells :). On my copy of Tango 'n Vectif the blurb inside (on the double vinyl anyway) says that u-ziq is made up of two people. I forget if it mentioned the other person's name. It does say something about one being a noted composer and arranger and the other being a double bass player. I'm doing my best to remember this as I don't have the record here at work. The other guy (apart from Mike Paradinas) was called Francis Naughton, mu-ziq was never really two people.. except a couple of the tracks on tango and vectif were Mikey P remixes of Francis's tracks.... This will all be fully covered on the Official Planet Mu webpage discography.... which will appear.... when i finish it.... ho hum... Steve /k/./F/
