Ok, this'll sound harsh, but I'd say you're on the wrong list. Get some
support and create a list specifically for IDM-release related announcements.
Advertise its existence on IDM, then leave. Not like I'm banning you from
here, or even particularly care about your posts, just offering what I see as
a helpful solution. If nothing else, you must be bored shitless on a list so
ill-suited to what you're after, ie. a discussion list.
You could set something up yourself for free via topica.com or onelist.com or
wherever, like whitezone-l is _supposed_ to pick up the auction and sale
traffic.
I'm posting to the list this once on the subject as I think it may be a
solution others might be interested in. I can imagine the big area of
disagreement to what I've written will be that this is purely a discussion
list and as such, announcements aren't welcome. All I can say is that this
list used to be like that, with people being at least mock-apologetic for
spamming the list, and I don't see why this list should be asked to just put
up and change its focus when it has had another perfectly valid function for
years.

PS. If you feel I'm being hypocritical with regards my own promotion on here,
please let me know. I try to provide info where requested, and otherwise can
only ever recall announcing one album release party. But I'm always
paranoid...
