the Anchorage series, at the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage in NYC. Go to

Thursday 6/12: Vernon Reid and maybe Rasputina (Talvin Singh cancelled at
the last minute)
Friday 6/13: Praxis...Transmutation-includes Buckethead, Bill Laswell, DJ
Disk from the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, DJ Soul Slinger, DXT, X-Men
Saturday 6/14: Ninja Tune Stealth Tour with Herbaliser, Amon Tobin, Funki
Porcini, Up Bustle and Out.
Thursday 6/19: Dj Olive (member of We), John King, maybe some others to be
added like the Beduoin
Friday 6/20: Mogwai, Bowery Electric-drone, feedback, melody, etc.
Saturday 6/21: Ben Neill, DJ Spooky, David Shea, Jim O'Rourke, Circuit Bible
Thursday 6/26: Project Dark (use multiple turntables and records made out
nof vinyl, glass, hair, etc.), Blank Slates (NYC freeform hiphop with saxes,
samplers, keyboards, and freestyle rapping)
Friday 6/27: Tweaker (Chris Vrenna from NIN, Smashing Pumpkins), Scanner
(you know, that cell phone guy), Main (soundscaping)
Saturday 6/28: Liquid sky Night with Wally, Soul Slinger, DJ Spooky, del
Mar, Odi and Ani, Dmitri (from dee-Lite), Khan...
The best part about all this is the space-the anchorage has massive stone
ceilings, multiple chambers, and multimedia art installations. All tickets
are 10-20 dollars, available at Other Music.
Last night they had some postrock fromm Varnaline and Run-on, and some noise
from S.A.N.D.I., none of which was exactly my thing, but it was still pretty
good. Every night is something different, and it's all really interesting
stuff. Plus, you get to see me, interning at the door or elsewhere!
