Hello, all. My name's Chris and I'm sending this <.ping.> out because I've
never heard of anyone on this list from upstate New York. I'm based around
Poughkeepsie, and I'm in the preliminary stages of planning an
IDM-esque event somewhere around here. I have no idea what it will entail
as of yet, but I'm always really impressed with the Soundlab people in
NYC, so it will probably be something along those lines. I'm looking for
collaboration, ideas, artists (visual and musical, dj's or not), and
pretty much anything else, actually. There will be no money involved, as
it will probably be a benefit for something or other. This is just an
attempt on my part to alleviate my boredom, and to make this
depressing area in which I live a a little more lively. Anyone who might
be interested (even if you're not from around me), pretty PLEASE e-mail me
privately. I work in NYC, so if any of you who are based around there want
to get involved, that would be super-cool. If you're from somewhere
like Finland or Cornwall, you can just revel in the fact that there are
people just like you, even in humble Dutchess County. Thanks a lot for
