Speaking of that, there is a local station here (Sacramento, California) that likes to use little Black Dog snippets (< 3 seconds) in their station id's. It's an easy-listening-mainstream-alternative station that literally plays about 17 different songs. They make MTV seem quite eclectic in comparison, and that's a scary thing. always the strangest places... may I make another call for reviews of "senor coconut" by Atom Heart? And speaking of that, can anyone recommend any other idm/latin (particularly Brazilian) meshings? thank you, paull7_oquet warranty free http://www.mother.com/~bravopop

You mean KWOD 106? I live in the SF Bay ARea and I get that station sometimes. But usually turn on live 105 (our alternative station) they always play techno and such in the background when the DJ talks. I wish they would play more. Actually they have a program called sub-sonic which is on from 1am to like 4am or so, and I hear they play some cool techno, but when are you ever up that late and want to listen to the radio? I mean when I up past 1 that usually means Im doing something and turning on the radio is not the first thought in my mind. Actually when I was in Seattle for a couple weeks I remember they had a techno rave station. Some of it was pretty good. A lot of rave type stuff (which is good for dancing) but they played quite a bit of "intelligent" or how I like to call it "symphonic techno. ....__The Kemical Kidd__..... . ...._kemkidd@clearink.com_... . http://www.geocities.com/Area51/9696/

I got the new Atom Heart, Senor Coconut last week and its really really good. Its got a definate latin/south american vibe to but still has the signature analogue percussion and zaps found in the other Atom Heart releases. One of the more refreshing an innovative things I've heard recently. Kinda Ricky Riccardo meets RDJ.
