hello
i got this email from brad (thanks), and i was going to reply to him
privately.... but then i figured i'd take one last shot at trying to get
some sort of response from this list (sorry that some of it repeats what
i've posted before, but this is in order to answer brad's question)
quoted 7 lines Thanks for bringing this to my attention. What is the best way for me

>>label: Disturbance
to tell you the truth, the only way i know of to get a hold of this stuff
is through the label itself - info was included in orig. message
truth#2 - i've never actually heard anything on this label, but everything
i've read about it sounds very good --- there's a wicked magazine that does
a lot of electronic music reviews called IMMERSE... anyways, they reviewed
2 disturbance discs, and both glowing reviews said something along the
lines of "if you like afx/rephlex, buy anything on disturbance"
i would own both cds by monomorph, and "era vulgaris" by it .... if i had
the $ to order them (the remix cd of "e.v." by it, by the way, is going to
feature remixes by black dog, lassigue bendthaus and monomorph)
for myself, i've been coming to the conclusion lately that although i like
some of the more experimental breakbeat/jungle stuff, my true love is for
weird/ distorted/melodic electronica...
it really bothers me that so many people on this list eat up everything
that appears on mr.afx's rephlex label, and yet no one seems to investigate
any further into where rephlex is finding these artists... for me, when i
heard d'archangelo, leo anibaldi, bochum welt... my reaction was "i want
more"
so there's all of these european/mostly itialian labels, like disturbance,
bochum welt's kromode, l.anibaldi's acv, as well as out of orbit, axodya,
interfered, music aus strom... that i've been trying to find out about, but
i can't get any info on from this list... i would be more than happy to
trade/pay a bit of $ to someone who could make me a tape of some of this
stuff
i don't want to (and definitely can't afford to right now) order this stuff
from europe without getting a chance to hear some of it
hello?

goodbye
