Just got a new 2cd comp called Valis II--Everything Must Go. Pretty good, includes Laswell, SIMM, Scanner, Scorn, Eye, and others. There is a Valis I called Destruction of Syntax. It came out a while back and was one of the first documents of "illbient" w/Laswell, We, Corporal Blossom, Spectre, and the ubiquitous DJ Spooky. It's on Subharmonic, so don't know how difficult/easy it is to find. Can't compare it to Valis II since I'm waiting for the mailman to deliver it to me any day now.... Hope this helps. cya brian
