This is just a note to let you know that Zammuto is playing Invisible Cities
this Wednesday, February 23. Invisible Cities is at Brownie's, which is on
Avenue A between 10th and 11th, and starts at 11:00 PM. Since the Zammuto
CDs are in, this will also be the CD release party. We will have copies for
sale.
Zammuto's performance, as far as I know, will involve:
a sampler
many effects
many microphones
a mixer
a model of the Death Star
a hanging metal plate that he has tuned to a pentatonic scale
a fog machine
I guarantee it will be much, much more than the sum of those parts and that
it will entertain--in spite, or perhaps because, of--its lack of a laptop.
Zammuto's CD, Willscher, comprises tracks taken from disc three of the
Solutiore of Stareau CD-R set. Zammuto has remastered all of them. It will
be making it's way to distributors over the next two weeks and should be
available in shops and through mail order soon after. It is our first
release, here at Apartment B, and we are very excited about it.
