I checked out ear-rational and they have a very good selection. They may
have some cheaper prices but there is no audio or cover art or secure
online ordering and their shipping instructions are wildly complex. ULTRA
is simply a different experience. It is our vision to go beyond the list
format for online music stores and do something more dynamic. We see our
site as a visual environment and an audio resource. We think the site
should use what is innovative in web technology. We are adding animations
and refining design elements. Basically, we want people visiting the site
to have fun (whether or not they buy stuff), as much or more fun than they
would have in the store in their hood. Andy is right about the prices--they
are imports. We do sell some items for less than Ear rational. I
appreciated what colin strange wrote about prices recently and was glad
there was someone smart out there doing the 'voice of the store owner'
thing. Basically, no one is getting rich from selling this kind of music.
We are always looking for ways to better satisfy our customers and at the
same time offer not just product but an engaging experience--tasty morsel
for the eyes and ears--as well.
Does anyone have an email address for Irdial? also, just found the Spymania
site and it is dope--
