These guys opened for Swans when they went through San Francisco. Didn't exactly rev up the crowd, but they did some really nice American-shoegazery sort of material with lots of ambient interludes, droney guitar loops, buried vocals. Eh, for that matter, don't you mean Tortoise?

Autocreation's work with Van Hoen also includes the (Sine Bubble Embossed Dub) of Seefeel's "Plainsong". After _Mettle_, which was recorded in his studio, Hector & Patterson (no relation to Alex Paterson) split off and released the _Sauce/Gruff_ 12" on their own Template label. Fans of _Mettle_ should definitely check out "Sauce", a super-squishy distorted dance-tempo chugger. "Gruff" initiates the breakbeat vibe which permeates their subsequent work. By the way, my Autocreation web pages should be up in the next week or so ... check www2.netdoor.com/~gorbash/autocreation

"1966", which appears on _The_Unfinished_, also appears on this new Touch release titled _The_Last_Flowers_From_The_Darkness_. Not sure about the other one, though. Also, Seymour & Van Hoen have a track called "Omnipotent" on the new Touch sampler. Likewise, www2.netdoor.com/~gorbash/locust --Seofon
