Based on the responses to my flip "Anglophile" post, I get the impression that everyone seems to think I'm a pretentious Brit who resents the co-option of my culture. I'm actually a pretentious American who resents other Americans for whatever retarded reason I can think of, especially for being anglophiles, or even worse francophiles. If I had a pound note for every time I had to debunk an American's false impression that there was no such thing as an uncool person in England, that nobody's ever even heard of Bruce Springsteen in London, that British kids don't like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion or Michael Bolton - well, I'd be one rich bloke! I'll admit that most music I like these days seems to come from England, but that's not reason enough to change my bloody vocabulary! (oops!) Cheerio! -CF

*****GASP***** oh i get it, he's just joking, right? listen buddy, i've seen AbFab and Four Weddings and there IS no such thing as an uncool person in England!;-) Hey, just curious, is the grass greener on the British side? ______________________________ Who and What are the Never Records group? Somehow i ended up on the mailing list and the last batch of records was a bunch of "rave" classic remixes. oh well. so then a friend gives me a few cd's that aren't totally amazing but not that bad from the same ppl and now i'm getting curious. the cd is called something like (memory fails) the Techno: The One, there's a Mark Broom track, the other artists didn't ring any bells(any info on them would be appreciated), there's also a track that stands out for it's use of cow, chicken, horse, and cuckoo samples. the other cd is called Cathexis, kind of like trance but i haven't had a chance to listen to it much. also recieved: Panasonic Kraftwelt Macro Dub 2 (better late than never, i guess)
