That'd be missing out on the people over on the west of the Atlantic. I don't know what speed your connections are, but with a 56k modem (the maximum for the UK and, I think, most of Europe) it takes an age to download anything. 128 is just about bearable - 20-30 minutes to download a five-minute track - but 192 would be just too painful. I agree, 128s are pretty awful sound-quality wise - say goodbye to rhythmic precision - but until phonecos bring in cheap high-speed digital connections I'm happy enough with it. (CDs with 128k mp3s on are another matter entirely. Yes, you, mp3.com.) Yours waiting for BT to get its act together....
