Hello. I certainly don't object to the length of some of the latest Warp & Rephlex releases (Bochum Welt, Aphex Twin, etc...around the 30 minute mark) - we all know that quantity is no guarantee of quality. In fact, I'd *rather* have a short CD of excellent tracks, than a long one with lots of filler. But... One thing I do object to, is the price. 13 UK Pounds for a release of this length is hard to justify - even on damn good music (and that's in the cheapest shop - elsewhere it's more like 14, 15...) I'm not *made* of trousers ! A recent example of how things *should* work, is when WARP put out the RAC "Diversions" CD (over 45 minutes) at mid-price (around 7 Pounds). Rephlex did the same with the Chimera CD, I believe. There was nothing wrong with the quality of these releases - in fact both are top drawer stuff. Why can't it happen more often ? Anyway, just my opinion. Aca
