OKay, here's my two cents worth about the show. I agree that the sound quality was vastly inferior to previous MBM shows but that wasn't entirely the fault of the venue. As someone else mentioned, the Orb sounded fabulous there as did Banco de Gaia. The sound mix was the problem. The live drums (a big mistake in my opinion) were too loud and hollow-sounding and all of Jack's improvisational noodling was drowned out so it all began to sound a bit repetitive. There were stand-out moments, though-- Transmission, and the few (too few, in my opinion) tracks that they played from Satyricon. I suppose it's a bit unfair of me to compare this show to past delights such as the Communion tour (MBM, Orbital, & Ultramarine) when all three bands were in top form, playing in intimate little clubs with fantastic sound systems-- Hearing MBM's Drop and Orbital's The Naked & The Dead (they really need to start playing that live again) in the same night was heavenly to say the least. ANyway, enough babbling-- good show but could have been better. As for Loop Guru, I was once again confused as to why anyone buys their records. Terribly dull.
