Sorry if this is past its use-by date, but I only get the digest. My understanding is that it's actually pronounced 'Apex' (I know a few trainspotter DJs in Sydney who pronounce it that way). The 'ph' which, as has been mentioned, was once also common in his track names, is actually a reference to acid (i.e. the pH scale). The other Aphex Twin was, of course, Tom Middleton, now of Reload/Jedi Knights/Link/Global Communications, etc. Oh, and hello to the list - this is my first post...
