Couldn't tell you. Though the album may be entitled "Music for Adverts & Short Films" the real scenario is simply short film and advert length musical pieces. Hi everyone-- I just posted about the Black Dog album...but right after posting, I gave another listen (to a friend's copy) I will say, it's growing on me. I spoke a bit too soon about the quality of this album (but I'm still curious to see if it coms out US domestic!) damn..it's too easy to say what you don't mean on these lists.. Back to the music -fp

I've given the album a fair share's worth of listening time. And though the album did grow a little, by no means is it anything to praise. While the writing process is quite unique, and each of the 26 sequences (they're hardly songs) at times have wonderful rhythmic drive and tightly written melody, the album lurches about, taking too many turns, and gets lost in progress. In all, Music for Adverts & Short Films is pleasant background music, but beyond that, it's hopelessly average. RE: the Residents/Black Dog connection The LP is called "The Residents Commercial Album" or something like that...I havent listened to it in years but when I get home tonight, I'll give it a listen...I remember it as being really wierd, lots of samples and stuff, kind of like Negitiveland on crack. oh well, my 2 cents are spent brock NP: Cosmic Baby - Thinking About Myself
