That would have been my guess. After all, the only release outside of the Rising High collective has been that Luke Vibert ep on Mo'Wax. It seems that a Warp contribution was imminent. I have to agree with Alan, Woodenspoon doesn't sound anything like Vibert. Alan just tell the mates (if you know) so we can be spared of another 30+ posts on this topic. I can't believe people are still talking about this I was bored of this a long time ago. Does anybody know when that SEEFEEL release on Rephlex is going to come out? Oh and let me guess this was recorded 2 years ago, right. Because Rephlex likes to age their music like a fine wine before they release it. I must say that Rephlex is dishing out some great releases this summer, I can't wait to get a copy of Leo Anibaldi and Bochum Welt. Hey isn't there suppose to be a full-length by Squarepusher coming out on Warp. I thought I read about this a long time ago. B i l l S a m u e l s w l s @ U . A r i z o n a . E D U

Yep, he's probably working on it right now. But give the guy a break. He's already released 3 12" releases, and a full length album. I was referring to the more recent Bubble & Squeak, Port Rhombus and Squarepusher Plays...as Dragon Disc 2, Alroy Roads and Conumber have been out for months. And 'Weirs' on Rephlex, and "Get Your Head Down" on Ninja Tune. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker)

Does plug sound like wagon christ? No. i'm not saying that it is vibert, but the above argument is pretty damn weak. :: rex c. arthur :: :: voyager co. :: :: nyc ::

Woodenspoon, Woodenspoon, Woodenspoon.... I finally picked it up yesterday...(un)fortunately Gonzi had told me who it was last week. Went home, put it on and after a few minutes I asked my friend (who is also a AFX/AUTECHRE/VIBERT/Muziq lover) who he thought it was. Here's what he said: "sounds like Seefeel trying to copy something cool like Aphex or Autechre. It can't be AFX because the beats don't change enough. (HUMMMMMM, HUMMMMMM, HUMMMMM, BERRRRRRR) Yep those are definitely Seefeel sounds...way too simple, just like the stuff on Polyfusia. Nice melodies though. It's OK" funny thing is, I was thinking exactly the same thoughts. Woodenspoon is OK, nice but not great...HAB it ain't! I also picked up SPRING HEEL JACK Suspensions EP. I'll tell you, these guys can do no wrong! The Omni Trio remix is great, a little harder that the LP track, less guitars but very clean. I didn't give much of a listen to the other remix. Then there's two more ORIGINAL tracks which are bad ass. If you like the Jazzy/Atmo kind of jungle, get this! Like Plug, Spring Heel Jack is in a catagory of it's own. word to the mother, Brock
