Got this in the post from Mute bank. Anyone know anything more, like how idm/eb relevant it really is? ----- Komputer EP _Komputer_ are committed to continuing the work of the pioneers of technological music. Their debut 4-track EP embraces the work of Can, Yello and most tellingly _Kraftwerk_ with a clean immaculate, geometrical sound. The lead track on the EP ,"Valentine Tereshkova", pays tribute to the first female cosmonaut, and is coupled with three other examples of delicately meoldic pop - "We are Komputer", "Komputer Krash" and "Oh Synthesiser". "Komputer EP" is available on CD and 12" limited picture disc from 8 July 1996. ----- The design on the card shows an early computer terminal, a pastiche of the sleeve of "Computer Love", though this is a real photo, not a drawing. Anyone know who Komputer is? I picked up a CD single by them on Mute (Looking Down On London [?]) I meant to ask about this awhile back but forgot about it... It sounds like Computer World era Kraftwerk w/an English guy doing a talk/semi-rap over the music. Not exactly "Pocket Calculator" or "Tour De France" but it's some nice sounding pop. any help would be appreciated Howie
