Dont you come and call Phillip Glass a little kid .. he is one of the
creators for everything that Richard D James stands for... try sitting
down and listening to th eopera Einstein On The Beach by Phillip Glass,
or baymbe some stuff from Steve REich .. You will find that most of the
ideas for our times Inteligent listening music, and IDM is based on
ideas from exactly the composers in the minimalist period, in the 1960-
1990.
There might be a problem for phillip to work within the frames of the
song becasue after all his job isn't to make a totally new song , but to
transfer it over to orchestral music. i think he uses the orchestra to
it's maximal in his orchestration, more than that can you not ask of him..
