There was an interesting quote on the back of the UK issue of Neu!'s first album. The liner notes were written by Dave Brock of Hawkwind and this one line simply said "Music for Mind and Pants", which summed up that particular record beautifully. Covers all bases. This is what we should be looking for in intelligent dance music. Seems to me that alot of what gets called IDM has absolutely nothing to do with dancing or pants, except that it is (pants). Cerebral shemerebral, that's what I say. There's more to life than lobes you know.
