butan album can tell a short story or a long one. I used this example as a simple analogy. Music is rather abstract in the messages it can convey. Your point is understood i.e taking an album as a whole rather than seperate parts as an EP. And yet again I can use the same analogy, EPs made up of short stories and an album made up of chapters to form a whole.

Perhaps we can transmit directly to the brain some how:) No, please, this sounds interesting do you have any suggestions? Matt

{de-lurk} And I look up from my tweakings to see ... this ... Many people are attempting to use the internet/FTP/HTTP as a delivery vehicle - most notably TAFKAP (you know, that doofus Prince) and Process. Granted, IMHO they wouldn't know the difference between MoDeM and Mo'Dumb, but it is an idea to play with ... If on-line skills can be combined with actual musical talent, then the outcome would be an effective decentralization of the "record company" and "record shop". So, for exAmple, here's what I've been working on for the next Black Sun project ... -Rendering all of my tracks to AIFF and then creating another AIFF of the mixdown -I'll take all of the AIFFs and render out some MPEG audio files which can be streamed by software on a server. -The high resolution version of the track (44.1k/16bX2) can then be obtained after tossing me yr FirstVirtual or similar credit card # -The high res versions of individual tracks will also be available if anyone on the Net wants to put together a remix or 2 - which would also be available in a similar manner (free preview with kinda crap quality, and CD-quality version at a reasonable price) It's just an idea, but with some tweaking it might just work. love, keith
