On my meanderings about town today I saw Rephlex's Bradley's Beats and HAB
1 in the half price bins...Anyone in great need for either of these???
Other than that, didn't see anything of to great an interest, though parts
of the new B12 lp were quite good, though I liked the packaging more than
the actual record.
Also saw the Warp mixtape Blech for $16 Canadian (worth it???)
Heard some of the new Off and Gone lp Everest on Harthouse the other day
(It's some aquaintences of mine here in Van.) and I honestly have to say
that it's damn fine...Sort of an ambienty/acidy/breakbeatey (though in an
electronic stylee as opposed to the typical "west coast" sound) atmospheric
kind of sound...a departure from most of harthous' typical sound....their
ep on Exist Dance is also realy good...oh heck, while I'm plugging them I
may as well mention the Veumorph cd on Silent, and the Floatpoint cd on
ESP...Both are deffinatley excellent...very atmospheric, as in creates one,
not whooshey at all :)
