Hello,
I've two questions about vinyl :
- it seems the method to make a vinyl hasn't changed for many years. Why
are there no improvements to increase quality?? Can't someone imagine a way to
press a record without all those crackles? Can't someone replace the
usual "vinyl" by something else, more resistant to dust, that could
keep a good sounding after more than 5 times listening?
(please correct me if such improvements have been done, but I doubt...)
- Do you think a non-destructive way of playing a vinyl could be imagined?
Maybe something optical... Of course, this would be for quiet listening
at home, not for mad scratching ;)
