thanks to everyone who contacted me about the negativeland and JAMMs query. i am currently geting it taped from Lazlo, along with that plunderphonics stuff. what was interesting to me was how few other sampling acts were named for their critical use of samples. has sampling been so successfully contained by copyright? will we ever have a eisenstein of digital musical montage? do we want one? just food for thought... sean portnoy@chaph.usc.edu
