When someone asks, I usuall refer to the GLR league as ambient d&b or
atmospheric d&b... Intelligent D&B is a term they coined fo themselves.
Although I would complain that the overall mood of the label, and the
omnipresent amen break, is a bit pidgeonholey, I must say that every so often
something does come out of the label (or its siblings, 720, etc) which does
not stay on a loop, and contains enough changes and beat progression that i'd
consider to be better than average. Lately I've been listening to some stuff
from Recordings of Substance that are pretty satisfactory if your into this
type of jungle.
