This appeared in my local paper today, and I thought you IDMers might
get a laugh out of it:
Orange County Register Friday March 8, 1996:
"CALLING ALL AMBIENT FANS:
Speaking of highly regarded remix/production teams (a little thing on
Kruder and Dorfmeister was before this), Britain's Autechre makes a rare
L.A. appearance Wednesday at Public Space, the occasional ambient
nightspot that lands in different venues. This time, Public Space takes
over the Trubador in West Hollywood. Also on the bill are Spacetime
Continuum, Astalwerks (<- yes, the label itself has decieded to make an
ultra rare appearance), and DJ Mark Boon.
Autechre founders Sean Booth and Ron Brown have worked with acts such as
St. Etienne, Scorn, and Beaumont Hannant, while releasing albums such as
"Inculabula" and "Amber" under the Autechre name. A new album, "Tri
Repetae, has just been released on Wax Trax!/TVT(uhh, it has?)."
Not bad for a bunch of Orange County hicks, Kruger and Dorfmeister and
Autechre in the same entertainment section. Even if there are some
pretty funny mistakes. This appeared BTW, in the newspaper with the
largest circulation in Orange County.

Oh, I found the "new" future sound of london single was a re-issue of
Cascade on Astralwerks.
