It's definitely 'diamonds' because it was bitten from an old soul song, the name of which escapes me right now. NWA also 'bit' it for their inimitable "Gangster Gangster." When I think of the name, I'll let you know. Todd @ URB At 1:38 PM 12/22/95, the old man with a rave name wrote:

I think your friend is right. Or go check the original from 1974 "Be Thankful For What You Got" by William DeVaughn (available in rerelease on Rhino's "Soul Hits of the 70's vol. 12 (didn't it blow your mind)") =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= == Niels Mayer (mayer@netcom.com) == == "When your hammer is C++, everything begins to look like a thumb." == == -- Steve Haflich, smh@Franz.COM, 12/31/94. == =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
