Oh, just a few bits of news really.

WARP blag competition.
I walked out with dozens of CDs, plus a record bag, 2 tee-shirts, a
had, stickers and posters.
Feeling smug? Not at all :)
Chantal also put me on the guest list for the Autechre gig at
Oscillate at eh Que club here in Brum - it was fortuitous timing that
I was in Sheffield for my prize, just a few days before the gig.
The setlist was the same as far as I can tell as at other gigs which
have been reviewed here already. The introductory 25-minute number is
an absolute stormer, building, churning, changing, shrinking, and
blowing minds. "Second bad Vilbel" was presented in slightly altered
form, and mutated into something else before a reprise of the statc
bursts, and the only recognisable album track was "Eutow", which
produced sucha big grin on my face diring the intro that some other
people near me must have thought I was mad. If you were there, I was
the guy in the black LFO shirt.
I met the boys before the show, too. Didn't glean a great deal of
useful info, but for anyone who remembers their last show at
oscillate in February, the reason why "Flutter" was played with
repetitive beats (I commented on IDM about this at the time) was
because they accidentally erased some drum tracks during the
soundcheck!
LFO will be touring UK major towns to promote their new Album, so
hopefully we will see them at the Que too!
