...i just got a new Hardfloor cd in the mail. a sticker on the pkg says
it's US only. there are six tracks compiling 40 mins of breaks and acid.
that's right, breaks. the first track is called "yimtrop" and should be an
indication of the style. also the inside of the spine leaf has the
following printed upon it - "Ambient Punk Science Fiction House"
i have only listened to it once and i'm disappointed. i have to say that
acid is really not my thing, (melodies, percussion and beats are) but i
liked funanlogue and tb resus. the new disk entitled "Da Damn Phreak Noize
Phunk?" seems like it's too little too late. weak beats and acid that has
been done before adds up the the new Hardfloor (imnsho).
i remember that within the last year someone said that Hardfloor are like
the Ramones in that they do one thing and one thing only. and they do it
the best. Hardfloor have strayed a bit. Check it out and make up your own
mind. i'm curious to see others' opinions.
dan.....
ps, i have an instinct records discography going. it's pretty complete. you
can link there from the URL below.
