I know this is getting border line, but I remember this band getting
mentioned on the list through virtue of the remixes of their track
'Paraffin' by people such as Mike Paradinas.
I just picked up the album today and was really impressed. It makes
fascinating listening, and is pretty dancy, but has the big song
structures and stuff which lots of IDM-list subscribers obviously aren't
into. For that matter, there are lots of guitars... it's sort of like a
cross between Portishead and Garbage, but a lot more interesting than
either of them, IMO. I reckon the use of samples and so on is really
effective...
