.Silver Apples tribute w/Jessamine, Sonic Boom and 3rd Eye Foundation. The .label's listed as Enraptured. What the hell is this thing and can anyone get me .a copy? this sounds great.. . for all intensive purposes, Jessamine is nothing more than a slowed down, more rockin' Silver Apples, plus 3rd Eye is (if I'm not mistaken) Gold Sparkle Band, a really interested avant-jazz/improv outfit.. . neat! .many people have been sampling the hell out of them lately. anyone catch the .folk implosion tracks on the "kids" soundtrack? SA seems to have gained hip originator status as of late.. . The kraut-rock chicago bands apparently worship these guys.. . this just makes the whole cluster, kraftwerk, can sentence take that much longer to say ; ) will we one day find a previsionary for everything!? it's hard enough to feel like you're doing something new, without knowing there's some band from the 70s (This Heat for instance) who was kickin' your ideas quietly and in style.. . I want to be original!! :) on now: the kid on the hall phone outside my door, damn i feel like shoving it down his throat.. . good morning to all PS how did this thread hit idm? .., ........, .........., .........., ........, .., B.U.a.R.P.

Silver Apples, are we talking about the 60's electronic silver apples? I just came across their LP out in my garage the other day, surprised I still have it.

Is this "Silver Apples" different from Morton Subotnik's "Silver Apples Of The Moon", the aimless Moog noodling thing from the late 60's? And This Heat? Ecch, "Deceit" wasn't any great shakes. Lotsa other music more interesting than that back then. Course, I brake out in hives if I hear too much Jazz influences in stuff, so I'm biased against stuff like that. - Greg

i'm pretty sure this is just coming out within the next couple weeks. i remember seeing a pre-order ad for this. i was wondering how long it was going to take someone to put something like this out. many people have been sampling the hell out of them lately. anyone catch the folk implosion tracks on the "kids" soundtrack? on now: once dreamt-drifting david *+*
