Hi all, Has anyone got Russ Gabriel's 'Voltage Control' on Input Neuron Muzique (the GPR offshoot)? Is the 'Future Funk Volume 1' double twelve the same thing or something different? What are they/it like? Also, talking of Russ Gabriel, what are the best Ferox releases? I'm interested in Paul Hannah's 'Adventures In Techno Soul' and 'Control' EPs especially - any opinions? Briefly heard the new Mosquito release yesterday - 'Artists In Charge Of Expert Systems' - first release on Vogel's label for ages. The track I heard was pretty good, but I'll have to check it properly soon. Mosquito's also putting out Blue Arsed Fly's 'Arse 1, 2 and 3' in a few weeks... Picking up the new EP on Precious Materials (who put out the outstanding Touch of Jazz EP) on Monday - can't remember the artist or title, but it's superb quality drum 'n' space. They are two different releases, but both are superb. _Future Funk_ is more aimed at the dancefloor, while _Voltage Control_ is more in the experimental/listening vein. Both are subtly melodic, beautiful records - a change from a lot of the hyper-minimal stuff on Ferox.

Well, as I said earlier, it's mostly minimal, tracky stuff. The only one I've bought so far has been Blue Arsed Fly's _In The Bag_ EP. It's a collaboration between Cristian Vogel and Neil Landstrumm, but I got it for the Russ Gabriel mix - a delicate, slightly jazzy Detroit techno-house wonder. They're different - Voltage Control is experimental ambient stuff (techno influencd but few beats) ith many eird analog sounds and Future Funk is a slamming almost Detroitish techno album with great technohouse tracks. Indispensible.
