So, is this out yet? It won't be out on local release in New Zealand, so I'm anxious to keep tabs on when it does get released in the UK. If it is out, what do people think of it? I absolutely loved their track on 'This Ain't Trip Hop' (I think it's called 'The Trip Hop Test' some places) and their remixes of Prodigy, Justins Warfield and Robinson, and so on, but, by the time those Sabres mixes were released I started to get worried that they were getting seriously formulaic. I've read an interview where they said "don't mock us, we've just got a definite style", and I think there's _some_ truth in that, but it could well be an excuse for complacency, IMO. Oh yeah, just in case I've missed a big thread on this, and someone is tempted to type "RTFA", take into account that I don't have a web browser, or FTP access, for that matter. It's out in the UK as of last week. The US release on Astralwerks will be 22 August according to their last post on the matter (posted 17 June), although Mod Lang in Berkeley seem to think they'll be getting the US release on 15 August, so plans might've changed slightly. i bought my copy at Mod Lang on Sunday, because i simply can't wait. and my decision was rewarded - it's fucking WICKED. the first six tracks are segued and some beatmatched into a fucking epic frenzy. "life is sweet" has Tim Burgess from The Charlatans on vocals and it works brilliantly...'one too many mornings' sounds as good as the first time i heard it....man oh man. if you're a big chemicals fan, shell out and get the import. it's amazing. mikebee forthcoming: reviews of Jake Slazenger 'Makesaracket' and Red Snapper 'Reeled and Skinned'...
