I just got back from Vancouver where I saw the final show of the Orb's tour. They played for over 2 hours, and had a live drummer and bass player. The visuals were the best part for me, it was a stimulating experience overall, watching such a powerful aural and visual display coming from the superb stage in Graceland (still one of the best designed clubs on the continent). The tunes were up and down and all around, but it was an excellent show and would have been worth the huge ($25) ticket price even if I did have to pay. All other electronic musicians/producers/performers should take their inspiration from the Orb's live show, what else could you possibly do? (no debates requested!) But it only exists in the present, it is up to other geniuses of presentation to develop a new direction and a new concept for 'live' entertainment.
