French Paddleboat is the guise of Scott August who is ½ of the excellent Vote Robot duo. The Conversions in Metric cd, on Canadian Scratch label, is the first French Paddleboat cd after two excellent cassette-only releases on the Granted Passage label. Anyway, the sound of the Conversions in Metric cd is an excellent mix of poppy electronica with just a touch of experimental glitchy electronics proding a nice Isan vs Oval sound. Recommended.
