*grin* Presets, maybe, but I can't discern any SY. This beside-the-point post courtesy of Brad. I think Reload/GC sounds are superior to SY sounds, btw. Much more gritty and pure.

probably ancient history for most of you, but my local neighborhood record shop just got copies of their CD in. I dunno, I don't know whether to buy it or not. I seem to remember peope on the list saying good things about it. What does it sound like ambient - trancey - or - does it got funk?

For the last year or so the unit that produced classic Global Communications, Reload etc.. records have really not existed. Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton both have want to follow different paths. Tom Middleton's recent production output runs more towards house music, as featured in the last few Global Communications releases, the Jedi Knights mix album of last year, and his Ibiza friendly output as Cosmos. Mark Pritchard has more recently been recording with another partner (who, though a name dnb producer, I've just currently forgotten the name of) under the moniker 'Use of Weapons'. This split in musical tastes does not, however, mean that there will never ever be another album produced by the above duo. Rumours are that there may be some discussion towards another Jedi Knights release... Iain H. Didn't they sign to Island about a year ago as "The Jedi"? Did anything ever come of that? Releases by them have been SORELY missed. Think I'll go slap on the "Autoreload" EP! -Mike --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Right my 2pence worth on Global Comms. The Jedis release on Island never happened. The Jedis have just released an album of old/new material on Smugg (www.smugg.net), which is mixed by Tom Middleton. From what I understand this is the end of the Jedis moniker. Mark Pritchard has been recording with Southend based Danny Breaks as Vertigo. There was a 12" released recently, an album is on the way. Use of Weapons is a solo Mark Pritchard project. More Use of Weapons and Harmonic 33 (another Mark pritchard solo project) will be released early next year on Danny Breaks new HipHop Breaks label, 'Alphabet Zoo' Mark Pritchard has been producing and playing keys for the new Crispian Mills (Kula Shaker lead singer) solo project. (and as a bit of trivia, Mark Pirchard played keyboards for Crispian when he supported Robbie Williams on his recent tour!...) Mark Prictchard, Tom Middleton, Danny Breaks, Jimpster and Andy Gangadine make up 'The Bays', who have material coming on the next Big chill Enchanted CD. There is a Tom Middleton house remix on the recent Audiomontage 12" (on freerange) Dan. www.madvision.org www.nortroute.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
