it's nifty but hardly IDM. the techno stuff varies from horribly cheesy to pretty decent. the atmospheric stuff is really nifty, mostly using orchestral sounds in an obviously sampled way. i've been a dolby fan since 1982 so i may be a little biased. the important thing to realize is that it is primarily designed to be the soundtrack to the animation compilation "Gate To The Mind's Eye." i highly recommend the video - the animation is awesome, top notch, mind bending stuff. just be warned that at some points you'll want to turn the sound down and put on something else to go along with it... (the last track is especially bad... sounds like music from a football highlights program or something.) Jon Drukman jsd@cyborganic.com

I have no idea what type of music this music would be classified as... Hopefully it is not completely irrelevant to the list... I was curious if anyone had this cd yet...i read a review that said he only sang on two or three tracks and that most were instrumentals... The review said thet it was semi techno one some tracks and very atmospheric on others... so...anyone...whats the verdict? Jasonosaj This has been a message from : Jason A.
