---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 06 May 1994 10:44:05 +0930 From: Glen A. Vallance <vallance@ist.flinders.edu.au> To: idm-owner@techno.Stanford.EDU Subject: HMC and Juice Records. I've never posted to this list before. I try to read it... but the volume gets to high for me :0. I guess I'm not that fast or dense. Anyway... I'm posting about a DJ from my city (Adelaide), whose travelling around Europe and America at the moment. Some of you may have heard of him before... some of his work can be found on New Electronica CDs. He also has a record label (called Juice) which puts out very original techno, which could be classified would be 'trance' or 'progressive'. He's just played at MayDay in Berlin, and I think he's in Holland at the moment. (Not too sure about that). I've also heard that he plans on travelling to NY, and perhaps Detroit. If you possibly can, try to see him, his style is original and brilliant. HMC has been Djing for 12 years, so if you want to see perfect beat-matching in action, this is your guy. Some of the Europeans on the list might may have seen him on their dance-music programs. A remix of one of HMC's tracks (by Laurant Garnier I think) has a video. His label has also been in Front Page etc... Anyway, try to see him spin if you can. Don't be put off by the fact that he comes from the same country as Paul Hogan ;). He's definately my favourite DJ, and I'm sure other people into IDM will like him too.
