Yes, we are, but wouldn't you consider the producers of avant-garde/experimental classical music (musique concrete, et al) equally as fractional a minority? I think that the only difference, in this case, is that the above is academically respected, so it is afforded the opportunity to express itself in a public forum (however mainstream it may be) such as Keyboard Magazine, whereas our genre wasn't borne out of (nor did it ever require any approval or assistance from) academia. Our music seems to be a (popular?) cultural phenomenon, and I think they're a bit reluctant to acknowledge new culture.

Oh, I'm smokin' it alright! ;) Hey, not to change the subject too quickly or anything - but I didn't want to waste another posting.. You seem to know the people @ Exist Dance pretty well - I was told that there was some kind of article featured in Urb which stated that Exist Dance had broken up.. Is there any truth to this? I apologize if this is redundant subject matter - I missed it the first time around. Thanks, Darshan
